No matter what kind of fellas these meals are for, they have been loved by all fellas around. Fellas at work or fellas at home, it is fellas approved. I will add to this as I try out difference recipes. I have found all of these recipes online and I do not claim any of them if you wish for me to take them down please let me know.
Beef
Home Made Big Mac
I made this forever ago. Simple to make, if anything it’s nice knowing it’s healthier than getting the real think. Pretty tasty sauce too!
Swedish Meatballs with Mushroom Gravy
This recipe is also not too difficult to create HOWEVER. It does take a bit of time as you have to create a bunch of tiny meatballs and then cook them in a pan in batches. Can be a little bit of a pain but it’s worth it in the end. A hearty delicious tasty meal I should make more.
Korean Ground Beef
This is a pretty easy and tasty meal to create. I’d reccomend eating this dish with some kimchi, some fried eggs and some scallions to top them off! People love a fried egg on top of a meal. The longest part of this meal would probably be the time it takes the cook the rice while you create the sauce for the ground beef. You can also use lettuce wraps for this meal.
Ropa Vieja
This meal is easy to set up just takes some prep work. You get some delicious shredded beef and is often the go to if the meat is on sale. Almost always has leftovers and people typically eat fried plantains with rice and beans with this meal.
Steak
Chimmichurri Steak Sandwiches
Toasted ciabatta bread
This is my go-to recipe if I’m trying to please a big group of people with a delicious cut of steak. For this I normally prefer a ribeye or New York strip. If I have the option I’d prefer to grill the steaks. If not the reverse sear method works fine. This meal is pretty quick to create. I’d reccomend creating your chimmichurri first and letting it sit in the fridge for 30 minutes first while you’re cooking your steak/ toasting the bread.
Chicken
Chicken Katsu Sandwiches
These sandwiches are a favorite for many of the fellas. The longest part of these is typically the deboning and then frying. My own anecdotal experience is this, but chicken thighs with bone and skin on and remove it yourself. It seems to me that doing that will create juicier bites!!
Greek chicken pasta
Someone loosely threw this together for me and I’ve tweaked it as the years have gone by. The recipe doesn’t need to be exact and the amounts I buy of this typically feeds at least 6 people with leftovers.
4 or 5 pounds of chicken breast or thighs
2 racks of bacon
1 box of penne pasta (it seems little but typically people don’t really want that much pasta but feel free to make more and put it on the side if you want)
2 containers of cherry tomatoes
1 container of a Kalamata olives
2 stalks of broccoli
3 bell peppers of any color( bonus for mixing them up for color)
1 full red onion
2 feta cheese crumbles
1 bag of frozen corn
Cook the bacon and chicken and then mix everything together. Use a little bacon grease and pour it in the mix too. Then I buy a bottle of Greek dressing to put on top if you wish. You can eat this cold as well!
Nashville Hot chicken Sandwiches
Oh my gosh the first time I was made this I created the meal 3 x that week. I’m laying here wishing I could eat this right now matter of fact. I don’t have much more to say to this other than it could be a little spicy but deal with it it’s so worth it.
Chicken Piccata with tomato Orzatto
I made this meal out of the blue on the whim for my family on Mother’s Day and they loved it! It was a pretty simple dish to make with these recipes and for people that typically do not enjoy Italian food, I’m glad this dish won a round of applause.
Fish
Salmon Bake
This is an incredibly easy dish to make as well and tastes amazing. I like eating this with the crunchy seaweed stuff and the spicy mayo sauce. You can sub in Greek yogurt for the mayo to be healthier and you won’t even notice the difference!
Pork
Banh Xeo
Oh man. This dish. This dish takes forever to make. But man is it cheap to make in mass quantity. You could spend a very long time crafting the meal but you’d be able to feed many mouths with for sure left overs on a budget. This is one of my favorite meals growing up to eat. It’s basically a dinner crepe with whatever you want to put into it. Historically my family does thinly sliced pork belly, squid, bean sprouts, mushrooms, shredded cabbage, thinly sliced onion and scallions inside the mixture. My mother taught me this recipe so I’ll link one that looks similar above. The recipe above actually shows you has to create the batter as well, you can also buy it pre mixed! There are a variety of fillings you can use to create your banh xeo.
Shrimp
Shrimp Scampi with zucchini
Back in my heyday I used to make this every week. I’d eat this meal all by myself with toast. Gluttonous. Very delicious and highly reccomended. Sometimes I’ll make double the sauce or buttery mixture and pour it over everything because it’s so good!
Honorable mentions that don’t really make the list as everyone makes it usually/ I don’t really have some unique recipe I pull from
Tacos
Burgers
Chicken parm
Chicken curry
DESSERT
Strawberry strudels With fresh white sauce
